انجي أفلطون هي فنانة ومناضلة سياسية وناشطة نسائية. في بداية الربعينيات، كانت واحدة من أولى النساء اللواتي التحقن بكلية الفنون في جامعة القاهرة.
في عام 1950، التحقت أفلطون بـ "لجنة الشابات بالتحاد النسائي المصري". في عام 1951 ،ساهمت مع عدد من المناضلت في تنظيم "اللجنة النسائية للمقاومة الشعبية"، لتنظيم مقاومة المرأة ضد الاحتلال البريطاني.
Efflatoun was a feminist and political activist as well as an
artist. At the beginning of the 1940s, she was one of the first
women to attend the Faculty of Arts at Cairo University. In
1950, Efflatoun joined the Youth Committee of the Egyptian
Feminist Union. In 1951, and together with other female
activists in the organization they organized the Womens
