كانت الاديبة والشاعرة جميلة العليلي هي المرأة الوحيدة في جماعة أبوللو الشعرية التي أسسها الدكتور أحمد زكي أبو شادي، رائد مدرسة أبوللو الشعرية.
أصدرت جميلة ديوانين من الشعر وعددا من الروايات.
وأصدرت مع زوجها مجلة أدبية بعنوان "الهداف" عام 1949، وقد استمر صدورها شهريا نحو عشرين عاما.
A pioneer author and poet, Gameela El Alayly was the only
female member of Apollo Poetry Group, founded by Ahmed
Zaky Abou Shady, the pioneer of this poetry style. She
published two poetry books and several novels. In 1949, she
published, together with her husband, the literary magazine
Ahdaf, which stayed in circulation for 20 years.
