بعد تخرج نعم الباز والمعروفة باسم ماما نعم عام 1964، بدأت عملها كصحفية في مؤسسة أخبار اليوم.
تدرجت في المناصب حتى أصبحت محررة قسم الاطفال بالمؤسسة وبمجلة الجيل.
الفت العديد من الكتب وحصلت على عدة جوائز أهمها جائزة مصطفي وعلي أمين عن أحد كتبها للطفال.
In 1964, Ne’am El Baz a.k.a Mama Ne’am started her career
as a journalist in Akhbar Al Youm newspaper. She advanced
in her positions to become editor of the children section in
the newspaper, and in “Al-Geel” Magazine. She authored
several books and won a lot of awards, of which the most
important was “Mostafa & Ali Ameen Award” for one of her
children’s books.
