تم الإعلان صباح اليوم الثلاثاء الموافق ٦ يوليو عن إغلاق كاتدرائية القديسة العذراء مريم والقديس مار مينا بحى بيكسيلى جنوب مدينة سيدنى بأستراليا حتى السبت المقبل الموافق ١٠ يوليو ، وذلك على صفحتها الرئيسية بموقع التواصل الإجتماعى الفيسبوك ، بسبب اعمال وعمليات التطهير والتعقيم التى تشهدها الكاتدرائية فى أعقاب إبلاغ المسئولين عنها امس الأثنين بإصابة شخصين بفيروس كورونا قد حضرا القداس الإلهى مساء الجمعة قبل الماضى الموافق ٢٥ يونيو من الساعة الرابعة وحتى السادسة والنصف ، وقد قامت الكاتدرائية بإبلاغ رعاياها الذين قاموا بزيارتها منذ ذلك الحين بعمل الفحوصات والاختبارات اللازمة والعزل الذاتى طبقاً للاجراءات الاحترازية لوزارة الصحة الأسترالية .

*IMPORTANT UPDATE*
Dear beloved congregation.
We’ve just been alerted that two people tested positive for Covid yesterday (July 5th), who had attended the Liturgy at our Cathedral on Friday 25th of June, between 4:30-6pm. This was just before lockdown.
Steps undertaken:
- All attendees were contacted and asked to be tested, and to self isolate until Saturday 10th of July.
- There will be no Liturgies until Saturday 10th July.
- The Cathedral will undergo a special deep cleaning and disinfecting process.
- Attendance to any service or event requires booking through PANAGIA. QR code scanning on site is also required.
Our Covid safety plan is current, and our Covid marshal is working closely with NSW Health. We will provide a further update as information becomes available.
In the meantime, please continue to follow all instructions by our Covid safety team. This situation serves as a reminder to maintain social distancing at all times, and to continue with the PANAGIA registration process for attendance to services.
Please ensure you stay safe and if you have any mild symptoms please get tested.
