فيلم الحارة يشارك في قسم Harbour في مهرجان روتردام السينمائي الدولي بهولندا

يشارك الفيلم الأردني الطويل الحارة للمخرج والكاتب باسل غندور، في قسم Harbour، ضمن فعاليات مهرجان روتردام السينمائي الدولي، في دورته الـ51 والتي تقام خلال الفترة من 26 يناير إلى 6 فبراير، ليكون أول فيلم أردني طويل يشارك في تاريخ المهرجان المرموق. وهو أهم الفعاليات الفنية في هولندا وضمن أقدم المهرجانات في أوروبا والعالم.
روتردام هي المحطة الدولية الرابعة لفيلم الحارة بعد عرضه العالمي الأول في مهرجان لوكارنو السينمائي، ومهرجان لندن السينمائي، كما سينافس الفيلم في الدورة الأولى من مهرجان البحر الأحمر السينمائي الدولي في دورته الأولى شهر ديسمبر المقبل.
فيلم الحارة حصل على عرضه العالمي الأول ضمن فعاليات مهرجان لوكارنو السينمائي، وأقيم عرضه في ساحة بياتزا غراندي أكبر شاشة سينما في الهواء الطلق بأوروبا، حيث سجل أول مشاركة لفيلم أردني طويل في تاريخ المهرجان وأول فيلم عربي يشارك في قسم بياتزا غراندي منذ 2008.
وفي مهرجان لندن السينمائي، رفع الفيلم شارة كامل العدد عبر رابط حجز التذاكر في المهرجان، ونافس على جائزة Sutherland المخصصة لأول عمل إبداعي لمخرجه في فيلم روائي طويل، وكان أول فيلم أردني يشارك في مهرجان لندن منذ ذيب المُرشح للـأوسكار والفائز بـبافتا والذي سجل آخر مشاركة لفيلم أردني في لندن قبل 7 سنوات.
تدور أحداث الفيلم في حي تحكمه النميمة والعنف في شرق عمّان، حيث يقوم شاب مخادع بالمستحيل ليكون مع حبيبته، لكن والدتها تقف عائقاً أمام اكتمال قصتهما، وعندما تلتقط كاميرا شخص مبتز مقطعاً مصوراً لهما في وضع حميمي، تلجأ الأم في الخفاء إلى عصابة لتضع حداً لما يحدث، لكن الأمور لا تجري كما خُطط لها.
وكان مشروع فيلم الحارة قد فاز بجائزة لجنة التحكيم لبرنامج صناعة الأفلام Eastern Promises ضمن فعاليات مهرجان كارلوفي فاري السينمائي الدولي بالتشيك، وحصل أيضاً على جائزتين من ملتقى القاهرة السينمائي للأفلام الروائية في مرحلة ما بعد الإنتاج ضمن فعاليات مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي. كما تلقى الفيلم دعم من صندوق الأردن لدعم الأفلام التابع للهيئة الملكية الأردنية للأفلام، ومؤسسة الدوحة للأفلام (قطر)، ومعمل مهرجان البحر الأحمر السينمائي لتطوير الأفلام (السعودية). وخلال مرحلة التطوير نال مشروع الفيلم مساندة كل من ورشة EAVE للمنتجين، وورشة راوي لكتاب السيناريو، وملتقى دبي السينمائي، ومنتدى سورفند لترويج الأفلام التابع لـصندوق النرويج لدعم سينما الجنوب.
فيلم الحارة من تأليف وإخراج باسل غندور، وبطولة عماد عزمي، بركة رحماني، منذر رياحنة، ميساء عبد الهادي، نادرة عمران ونديم ريماوي. ومن إنتاج بيت الشوارب (يوسف عبدالنبي)، The Imaginarium Films (رولا ناصر) وLagoonie Film Production (شاهيناز العقاد) كمنتج مشارك، وتتولى شركة MAD Solutions مهام توزيع الفيلم عربياً، بينما تتولى الشركة الفرنسية Elle Driver المبيعات في باقي أنحاء العالم.
باسل غندور شارك في تأليف وإنتاج فيلم ذيب الذي ترشح لنيل جائزة أفضل فيلم أجنبي في كل من حفل توزيع جوائز الأوسكار والبافتا، كما فاز بجائزة البافتا لأول عمل روائي أول سنة 2016. فيلم الحارة هو تجربته الإخراجية الأولى، وهو أيضاً من تأليفه، وينال عرضه الأول عالمياً في مهرجان لوكارنو السينمائي.
The First Jordanian Feature Film in the festival’s history
The Alleys joins Harbour Section at International Film Festival Rotterdam, Holland
Written and directed by Bassel Ghandour, The Alleys will compete at Harbour Section of the 51st International Film Festival Rotterdam (January 26th to February 6th- 2022). This marks the first Jordanian feature film to be selected at Rotterdam, the most distinguished artistic event in the Netherlands and one of the oldest festivals in Europe and worldwide.
Rotterdam marks the 4th international stop for The Alleys. It previously world premiered at Locarno Festival and screened at BFI London Film Festival. This coming December, it will compete in the first edition of Red Sea International Film Festival.
The Alleys recently landed its world premiere at Locarno Festival’s iconic Piazza Grande, the biggest outdoor screen in Europe, marking the first Jordanian feature film to join the festival and the first Arab film to participate in the Piazza Grande section since 2008.
The Alleys had sold-out tickets via the festival’s ticket-booking link at BFI London Film Festival where it competed for Sutherland Award, for the most creative feature directorial debut. This is the first presence for Jordan at the BAFTA award in the past 7 years; since Theeb ( 2014), winner of BAFTA award for Outstanding Debut and the 2016 Oscar nominee.
In a gossip-ridden, violent neighborhood in East Amman, a young hustler will stop at nothing to be with his secret lover, but her merciless mother won’t have it. When an extortionist catches the couple in the act, the mother solicits a gangster to put a stop to it all... things don’t go as planned.
Previously, the film received the Works in Progress Post-Production Development Award of the Eastern Promises program at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, Czechia. Furthermore, it won two awards for films in post-production at the 7th Cairo Film Connection, the co-financing platform of the Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) and received support from The Jordan Film Fund of the Royal Film Commission, Doha Film Institute (Qatar), and the Red Sea Film Festival (KSA). During development, the film was aided by EAVE Producers Workshop, Rawi Screenwriters lab, Dubai Film Connection, and The Sorfond Pitching Forum, which is organized by The Norwegian South Film Fund.
The Alleys is written and directed by Bassel Ghandour and stars Emad Azmi, Baraka Rahmani, Munther Rayahneh, Maisa Abd Elhadi,, Nadira Omran, and Nadim Rimawi. The film is produced by Bayt Al Shawareb (Yousef Abed Al-Nabi), The Imaginarium Films (Rula Nasser) and co-produced by Lagoonie Film Production (Shahinaz El Akkad). MAD Solutions handles the film’s sales and distribution across the Arab World, while Elle Driver (France) handles international sales.
Director Bassel Ghandour co-wrote and produced Theeb, winner of the BAFTA award for Outstanding British Debut, in 2016, and the nominee for Best Foreign Language Film at both the Academy Awards and the BAFTAs. The Alleys is his directorial debut, and he is also the film’s writer. The Alleys world premiered at the Locarno Festival.
